About our Continuing Medical Education

Continuing Medical Education

At Tramedico we are intensively involved in facilitating recognized medical education events for and by medical professionals. An example of this is the T-Pensant periodically organized by us.

T-Pensant

The T-Pensant is a training concept from Tramedico that we have been organizing within the MDL for over 15 years. And since 2022, we have also started to set up this concept with ophthalmological specialists.

Specialistenportal

Laws and regulations impose restrictions on the information that consumers may receive from us about prescription medicines. That is why only medical professionals have access to our specialist portal.

My doctor advised me to do a calprotectin home test. How does this work?

There is an extensive prescription that comes with the test. It explains step-by-step how, and in which order, you should do the calprotectin test. Please read the prescription carefully before starting the test. We also explain the steps in this video. Hopefully the video will clear up any uncertainties. Good luck running the test!

My doctor prescribed Hylan eye drops for me. Can I use eye drops while wearing contact lenses?

Contact lenses are not affected by Hylan. If you use contact lenses, ask your doctor for advice on using contact lenses with Hylan. It’s possible that your doctor may recommend removing the contact lenses before using Hylan eye drops.

My doctor prescribed Hylan eye drops. I am going on holiday to a (very) warm country, how should I store Hylan?

It’s not a problem if Hylan is temporarily exposed to higher temperatures than those in the Netherlands. You can safely take Hylan with you on holiday to a warm country. There’s no need to store Hylan in the fridge, but ensure it is kept out of direct sunlight. Under no circumstances should Hylan be stored in the freezer. Wishing you a wonderful holiday!
