Donation for dining cafe
Each year, Tramedico has the wonderful opportunity to support a charitable cause with our annual donation. We focus on initiatives where our contribution truly makes an impact and isn’t just a drop in the ocean. This year, we are proud to announce one of those causes where we know we are genuinely making a difference.
This is a personal account from our colleague Alice.
“How Heartwarming it Was to Drive From Our Cozy Tramedico Christmas Gathering in Weesp to Hoogeveen With a €2,500 Cheque!
The participants of the community dining café were in the midst of enjoying their annual Christmas dinner when I arrived. Shortly after the press had arrived, I officially handed over the cheque to my brother Wouter and his friends.
During my speech, I couldn’t help but feel emotional, especially seeing the participants’ enthusiastic reactions to the donation. Their beloved dining café, which brings them so much joy twice a month, can now continue for at least another two years! How wonderful that Tramedico has made this possible!
Christel, one of the participants standing behind me, noticed my emotions and kindly said, “Don’t cry, this is such happy news,” before giving me a big hug, quickly joined by Gerrie. My brother proudly held up the cheque for a long time, making sure the photographers captured the moment perfectly.
After the official photos, many participants wanted their own picture with the cheque and me. The cheque was regarded as a truly valuable gift. Meanwhile, a card circulated, where participants and volunteers wrote their names and heartfelt messages of gratitude.
With smiles all around, the participants returned to their homes in buses and taxis, overjoyed that their dining café will continue to exist!”.
